The Shadow Machine

Indiefolk/slowcore-sadcore artist with his band.

The Shadow Machine

The haunting melodies of The Shadow Machine emerge from a realm of solitude and introspection. The creative journey of songwriter and founder Jo Geboers was not without its challenges. Following the successful release of his debut EP “Cities Of Light”, which gathered over 130,000 streams and received airplay on Studio Brussel and Radio 1 (BE), leading to supporting shows for Dutch indie act Roosbeef and a 3voor12-session, Geboers encountered a period of creative block. It left him unable to compose for several months. However, the inner yearning to explore the depths of his mind compelled him to resurface. The outcome is a compilation of new, slow, and intricate tracks originating from a realm of shadows and whispers. Tracks that need time and space to unfold completely and captivate the listener’s senses. These vulnerable and delicate songs beckon to your soul, daring you to decelerate and embrace the enigma. The Shadow Machine delves into the complexities of the human spirit, celebrating its fragility and beauty. Each note is imbued with darkness, resonating with an aura of mystery that ventures into the depths of shadows.
